Abstract

The Portland Youth Conservation Corps yesterday began construction on a trail for a new footbridge that will lead from Congress Street in Portland across the Fore River into the Maine Audubon Society's 85-acre Fore River Sanctuary. The teen conservation workers will work through the end of August, and the Portland Rotary will finish the job in September. The 90-foot pedestrian bridge will be constructed in October. Details.
