Abstract

The Democratic State Committee yesterday reaffirmed plans to hold the state's firt presidential primary in 1996. The plan was approved at the 1992 party convention. Yesterday the committee voted 34-11 to go ahead with the plan. A two-thirds vote would have been needed to pass the repeal effort.
