Abstract

Amanda Moore, 14, of Dresden, on Thursday had a transplanted liver removed, and is now listed nationally as a top candidate for a donated liver. Doctors transplanted a section of her father's liver on June 9, but the organ began to fail without warning, forcing the removal. Moore is hooked to machines at Children's Hospital in Boston and is listed in critical condition.
