Abstract

The National Organization for Women, the nation's largest feminist group, today will announce that it is endorsing U.S. represenative Thomas H. Andrews for the U.S. Senate. NOW President Patricia Ireland said Andrews' record on feminist issues prompted the endorsement, while a spokesperson for U.S. represenative Olympia J. Snowe, Andrews' opponent, noted the group usually endorses liberal Democrats over Republicans. Details.
