Abstract

Michael Mason Jr., 19, of Embden, currently in the Maine Youth Center for the October 1992 shooting deaths of his mother and younger brother, could be released from the facility to reside with a family member out of state. Mason was 17 at the time of the shootings, and state prosecutors failed in their attempts to have him tried as an adult. Maine Youth Center Superintendent Michael Wyse said any center resident determined ready for release has completed all treatment programs and is considered rehabilitated. Details.
