Abstract

Rosalba and John Votto of Gardiner have filed suit in U.S. District Court in Bangor against School Administrative District 11, claiming that their son Sebastian Milazzo was discriminated against because of his learning disabilities. Milazzo, 18, will be a senior at Gardiner Area High School this fall, but he barely reads and writes at a sixth-grade level. The Vottos are seeking to have SAD 11 pay for Milazzo's enrollment in a special school in Massachusetts, plus pay their legal bills and unspecified damages. Details.
