Abstract

John K. Marshall, the president of PACT 95, the Bangor syndicate that is accredited to compete in the America's Cup race in May, last year asked a group of Maine teachers to develop a curriculum based on the race. The program was tested in schools around the state, and this year it is going national. Marshall has budgeted $3 million for the educational curriculum, and figures it will reach around 1 million students nationwide. Details.
