Abstract

The federal Farmers Home Administration yesterday announced that effective August 24 it has rescinded the suspension and proposed debarment of Pamela Gleichman, one of Maine's foremost developers of lower-income housing, but declined to discuss the reasons for its actions. The agency on July 14 announced sanctions against Gleichman, based on allegations that she had misstated and omitted financial information, and suspended her from receiving funding from the agency. Gleichman owns or manages 3,500 units in eight states, and most have involved FmHA funding. Details.
