Abstract

John Roberts, the Biddeford clothing manufacturer, and the Finance Authority of Maine have reached tentative agreement on a plan that would allow the company's factory to reopen. The proposed agreement, which needs court approval, would have John Roberts use $80,000 of its accounts receivable to pay its 135 employees the nine days pay owed them, and calls for the plant to reopen next week.
