Abstract
Shawnee Peak Ski Area in Bridgton, Maine's third-largest ski area with 198 acres of terrain and 30 trails, has been for sale since January, with a list price of $1.35 million. Shawnee Peak, which opened in January 1938, was sold to the Shawnee Mountain Corp. in 1988 for $1.4 million, but because of financial problems at SMC a bank took possession of the ski area. Watershed Realty, represented by PNC Realty Holding Co. of Pennsylvania, has a stake in Shawnee Peak, but PNC would not comment on the current negotiations. The ski area will be open for business this ski season. Details.
