Abstract

John Brier, Ron LaVallee and Brian Hanson, owners of The Cage on Portland's Wharf Street, yesterday filed suit in Cumberland County Superior Court against Portland police chief Michael Chitwood, alleging Chitwood drove away customers with repeated negative depictions of the nightclub. Chitwood yesterday said he stands by any statements he made about the club, and that he and city attorneys are looking into filing a counterclaim against the club's owners. Details.
