Abstract
J. Michael Lynch, the state race steward who was the subject of Joseph Ricci's tirade at Scarborough Downs on April 20, has filed suit against Ricci, and is seeking unspecified compensatory damages and $15 million in punitive damages. Ricci's lawyer yesterday said that his client has apologized publicly and privately to Lynch for the comments, which were made over the race tracks public address system and allegedly contained threats to Lynch and assertions that he was bisexual.
