Abstract

The Westbrook City Council last night voted 6-2 to allow voters in November to decide whether the city should form a municipal utility and leave the Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) system. CMP president David T. Flanagan told the council that his company takes very seriously the possibility that the city might form a municipal utility. Details.
