Abstract

Working Mother magazine has honored Unum Life Insurance Co. of America and Tom's of Maine as among the best employers nationwide for working mothers. It is the sixth year in a row that Unum America was included on the list of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers," and the second year for Tom's. Around 70 percent of Unum's Portland employees are women, while 45 percent of the 64-person work force at Tom's are women.
