Abstract

U.S. represenative Thomas Andrews voted against a bill in Congress that included $1.2 million for two projects in Maine, saying that he supports the projects but voted against the $290 million spending package the projects were part of because it didn't go through the appropriate review process. U.S. represenative Olympia Snowe, Andrews' opponent in the race for the U.S. Senate, said Andrews' vote is evidence that he won't stand up for the interests of Maine. Details.
