Abstract
The tower clock at Deering High School in Portland was once run by an antique Regulator Clock, which reset the tower clock once a minute with an electric surge. The Regulator Clock turned up in the possession of the Rev. Elmer J. Smith of New Brunswick, who before passing away gave the clock to Rick Balzer of Falmouth, a restorer of clocks. Balzer tomorro will turn the clock over to the school, and the event will be used to kick off a campaign to raise $50,000 to restore the clock tower. Details.
