Abstract

General Electric Capital Corp. yesterday said that it will foreclose on five Portland apartment complexes previously operated by the New Portland Properties Group. GECC on Thursday took possession of Deering Pines, Forest Park, The Village, Woodford Arms and Forest Ridge, and contends that New Portland Properties has defaulted on more than $24 million in loans since 1986. A GECC spokesman said nothing should change from a tenant's standpoint. Details.
