Abstract

Federal officials are delaying the starting date for a federal Job Corps program at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone for two years so a fitness center can be built. U.S. Senator William Cohen yesterday complained to federal Labor Secretary Robert Reich about the delay, saying it would have a serious impact on a region already suffering economically from the closure of the base.
