Abstract

Rob Rosenthal, general manager of WMPG radio, said the community radio station at the University of Southern Maine has joined the Pacifica radio network. The station will begin airing "Pacifica Radio News," a half-hour program originating out of Washington, D.C. The staff at the station had a protracted debate over whether to accept the satellite program, fearing any national programming would dilute WMPG's local style.
