Abstract

Corporal David Trask, a Madison police office, has filed suit in Somerset County Superior Court against Celeste Brockelbank of Madison, for slander, libel and infliction of emotional distress. Trask claims that Brockelbank has made statements that he used his authority as a police officer to close to women for sex. Madison selectment had cleared Trask of sexual misconduct charges in in April 1993. Six women, two of their spouses, and three others supporting the charges against Trask filed complaints with the town.
