Abstract
A Spanish-made Talgo diesel train, one of three high-speed prototypes being considered by Amtrak, will travel from Boston to Portland on October 27. The train, which is expected to carry around 200 dignitaries, is making the trip to allow train officials to inspect the tracks between the two cities, and will transport people to the National Association of Railroad Passengers board meeting being held in Portland October 27-29.
