Abstract

A spokesman for Guilford Transportation Industries Inc. yesterday said that the state has not completed agreements to authorize the upgrading of track belonging to the company, which must be done before the track can be used for passenger-rail service between Portland and Boston. Under federal law, the state must complete a labor accord with Maine and New Hampshire businesses that could be adversely affected by rail service. Details.
