Abstract
Harley Lee, president of Endless Energy Corp. of New Gloucester, on Monday said that problems with foundations will delay construction of three wind turbines proposed for Sugarloaf in Carrabassett Valley. The firm had thought that it could pin the turbines to rock just below the mountain surface, but found the ground was not suitable. The turbines, which were scheduled to be in operation by early November, are each capable of producing 225 kilowatts of electricity at peak capacity.
