Abstract

Moss Inc. of Camden announced yesterday that it has sold its tent division to Walrus Inc. of Seattle, a subsidiary of Recreational Equipment Inc., for an undisclosed amount. Moss in June announced it was putting the tent division up for sale, saying the high cost of production in Maine and the seasonal nature of the business couldn't be overcome. The company has since laid off ten of its 51 employees in Camden.
