Abstract

The state's eight district attorneys have written a letter to Maine Supreme Judicial Court chief justice Daniel E. Wathen calling for the removal of Harvey Prager as a law clerk for the court, saying his work on criminal appeals creates the appearance of impropriety. Wathen yesterday answered the letter and said there is no basis for concern. Prager in 1988 pleaded guilty to federal marijuana smuggling charges. Details.
