Abstract

The Columbus Day weekend has become one of the year's busiest times for the tourism industry, and this past weekend was marked by packed stores, crowded roads and booked hotels. This year's holiday coincided with the peak of fall foliage and Indian-summer weather, and provided a perfect end to what is being called a good tourist season. Details, related article.
