Abstract

Rank-and-file police officers in Camden and Brewer in recent months have taken no-confidence votes against their chiefs, prompting the Maine Chiefs of Police Association to say the practice is counter-productive. Brewer Chief Eugene Fizell in June was placed on administrative leave after the no-confidence vote, and Camden selectmen this week discussed the recent vote against Chief Terry Burgess.
