Abstract

Soils used to bury low-level radioactive waste at the former Loring Air Force Base in Limestone are being shipped to Utah for disposal. The first shipment was loaded into railroad cars on Thursday, and is part of a cleanup process at the former base expected to cost up to $4 million.
