Abstract

A coalition of 21 labor, environmental and peace groups criticized the North American Free Trade Agreement on Wednesday, saying that Maine could lose 85,000 jobs providing an annual payroll of $1.4 billion. Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont have been identified as three of the top four states vulnerable to job loss if the agreement is instituted.
