Abstract

Officials of Old Orchard Beach are calling the $3.4 million downtown revitalization project the start of a new era of civic pride, and are hoping that it will forever replace the town's former image of a tourist-driven honky-tonk area with a new image which emphasizes the family. The project includes major renovations to downtown streets, sewers and drainage systems.
