Abstract

Gov. John R. McKernan, House Speaker John L. Martin and Senate President Dennis L. Dutremble were part of a delegation, which recently met with Wall Street bond analysts to try to put off any changes in Maine's bond rating until after the state budget for the upcoming biennium is approved. The trip was made due to analysts' concerns about the McKernan administration's proposal on debt refinancing and payment deferrals.
