Abstract

The conversion of Portland's Hadlock Field into a minor league baseball stadium is underway, but the final cost of the project could exceed its estimated price of $1.5 million by $500,000. Geological characteristics of the site are responsible for much of the cost increase, with the stadium requiring a more expensive foundation than was originally believed.
