Abstract

USM Recycles, the very successful student-run project at the University of Southern Maine, was recently honored by the New England division of the Environmental Protection Agency for its efforts in reducing waste at the university. The program has been responsible for cutting university waste removal costs from $108,000 to $33,000 per year.
