Abstract

The University of Maine's Maine Community Childhood Hunger Identification Project, part of an ongoing effort to determine the scope of childhood hunger nationwide, has shown that 7,500 low-income children in Maine had too little to eat at times in the past year, and another 31,000 were at risk of food shortages.
