Abstract
Town officials in Nobleboro, Newcastle and Jefferson are questioning whether the 500-kilowatt hydroelectric plant in Damariscotta Mills is responsible for the dramatic decline in the alewife population. The plant, owned by Consolidated Hydro Maine Inc. of Greenwich, Conn., is currently undergoing license review by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Details.
