Abstract

Owners of lead-paint detection devices who hold Maine licenses for the machines are frustrated because the state has not yet developed guidelines for the machine's operators. The Department of Human Services, which oversees the state's lead paint program, has submitted draft guidelines to the Attorney General's Office, but does not expect them to be adopted until the fall.
