Abstract

Maine's child-labor laws have been relaxed, allowing 16- and 17-year-olds to work longer days and more hours per week when school is not in session. The legislation also repeals the so-called student minimum wage, under which students younger than 19 received 85 percent of the $4.25 hourly minimum wage.
