Abstract

After two previous trials ended in hung juries, Justice Margaret Kravchuk, of the Somerset County Superior Court, declared a mistrial Thursday in the third gross sexual misconduct trial of Fairfield police officer George Shaw. The "date rape" trial was ended after the jury remained deadlocked (divided 10-2) after five hours of deliberation.
