Abstract
Bangor International Airport celebrated its 25th anniversary last month, and in doing so offered a model for communities faced with converting the closure of a military base into economic benefit. Twenty-nine years after the U.S. Air Force announced the closing of Dow Air force Base, the airport in 1992 generated a profit of $2.3 million for Bangor. Details.
