Abstract

Maine Insurance Superintendent Brian Atchinson has ruled that Maine businesses must pay a two percent surcharge increase to help bail out a troubled portion of the old workers' compensation system. The "Fresh Start" surcharge will now total 7.5 percent, and applies to policies issued July 1 or later. Details.
