Abstract

The legislature's Housing and Economic Development Committee has said it opposes closing any of the state's six visitor centers, and presented a revised budget recommendation that no longer calls for eliminating money for the Yarmouth and Hampden centers. Tourism industry representatives contend that the revised budget still spells problems for the centers.
