Abstract

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has approved construction of Bangor Hydro-Electric Co.'s controversial Basin Mills dam on the Penobscot River, although it did stipulate numerous conditions that must be met. The Maine Board of Environmental Protection will make a final decision on the project on August 25. Details.
