Abstract

Corrections Commissioner Donald Allen has decided to cut the number of beds in the proposed secure treatment building at the Maine Youth Center from 40 to 28 to reduce costs. The treatment building was appproved by voters in 1989, but the project was delayed because of questions about the future of the Maine Youth Center.
