Abstract

A "Holy Lands" calendar, produced by California-based Pomegranate Calendars & Books for the University of Southern Maine, is selling like hot cakes in the United States, Canada, Australia and the Middle East. Featuring 12 maps drawn for the university's Smith and Osher Cartographic Collections, the calendar was issued to raise funds to endow the collection. The first printing consisted of 10,000 calendars and another run may follow. The university receives 30 cents for each $10.95 calendar sold.
