Abstract

Kelly and Picerne Inc. of Rhode Island, owners of Five Points Shopping Center in Biddeford, has filed suit in York County Superior Court seeking to reverse a Biddeford Planning Board determination that Wal-Mart is a retail store. If Wal-Mart is determined to be a shopping center instead of a retail store it would have to go through a more stringent review process by the Planning Board. Wal-Mart plans to build a 129,000-square-foot store in Biddeford. Details.
