Abstract

The federal National Marine Fisheries Service has proposed cutting the quotas for bluefin tuna by 15 percent for 1994, a move which Maine's tuna fishermen say could lead to the industry's demise in the state. The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas is meeting in Madrid, Spain, this week to decide what future quotas should be. Details.
