Abstract
The Maine Speakout Project for Equal Rights, a network of 100 trained participants holding discussions across the state, is aimed at fighting homophobia and building a support base for equal rights for gay men and lesbians. The Speakout Project began in September, and by April plans to have concluded 75 meetings. A recent discussion was held at the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice in South Portland.
