Abstract
Irving Oil Corp. has proposed a 4,166-square-foot convenience store on a 2.3-acre site at the corner of Route 1A and Route 9 in Hampden. The store would house two fast-food franchises, with a separate car wash. The Hampden Town Council on Monday held a hearing on a plan to reimburse Irving $140,000 over five years for a $210,000 road-relocation project designed to ease traffic problems. Some residents feel Irving's proposal is too large for the town. Details.
