Abstract

Bangor recently completed a partial overhaul of downtown traffic patterns by reinstating angle parking on State and Central and widening crosswalks. Reinstating angle parking reduces the number of travel lanes from four to two, effectively slowing traffic. City officials will give the current improvements up to a a year before proceeding with a project to replace traffic signals.
