Abstract
Maine school administrators are trying to determine how to regulate student behavior on the Internet. The school board in Old Town approved an Internet policy on September 17, thus becoming one of the first school districts in the state to act on the issue. Model Internet policies for schools can be downloaded from the World Wide Web. Part of the challenge for administrators is to formulate rules that maximize freedom without compromising community values.
